Museum crating & packing
Bespoke crates, non-abrasive foams and inert materials. Engineered around the medium, format and fragility of each piece.
For more than twenty years, we have carried what cannot be replaced: paintings, sculptures, crystal chandeliers, collection pieces, and any heavy, fragile or precious object that demands the same rigour. More than 25,000 specialised assignments stand behind us.
Every artwork is unique; every shipment just as much. We design a complete solution, from the first condition report through to final placement.
Bespoke crates, non-abrasive foams and inert materials. Engineered around the medium, format and fragility of each piece.
Vehicles reserved for artworks, never mixed with ordinary freight. Tail lift and alarm, in the hands of trained crews.
Accompanied by a trained courier, photographic condition reports before and after, and customs formalities handled on your behalf.
Fine furniture, safes, pianos, light fixtures, sensitive technical equipment, high-end relocations. Anything heavy, fragile or irreplaceable — even when it is not an artwork.
Unpacking, hanging, plinths, monumental sculpture placement and de-installation, by teams trained in museum protocols.
Piece-by-piece dismantling, photographic mapping, separate transport of each element and on-site reassembly. Crystal, Murano glass, porcelain, mirrors.
National museums, galleries, auction houses, private collectors and artists entrust us with unique pieces every year. What they buy is not a journey: it is the certainty that the work will arrive exactly as it left.
Our procedures are written, traceable and auditable. Every assignment produces a complete file: condition report, time-stamped photographs and a named chain of custody.
"We have complete confidence when we send them to our sites, even the most delicate ones. They have the experience to move fragile objects such as rock-crystal chandeliers, marble fireplaces or plaster sculptures."Vincent Queyroux — SEFEC
It all begins with a careful assessment: a site visit or photo file, measurements, the medium and the access constraints. We identify the risks before proposing anything.
We draw up a complete plan — packing, route, crew, schedule and customs formalities — and approve it with you before anything is handled.
Joint condition report, packing, real-time tracked transport and courier where needed: it all runs under one dedicated project lead, from departure to arrival.
Unpacking, installation and a second condition report, before we hand over a complete traceability file. The job closes only once you have signed.
One expert takes charge of your project and follows it from the first condition report through to final installation. A single person knows your file, and it is always the same person you reach.
You always know where your file stands: quote progress, collection, handling under way. On delivery you receive a detailed report.
Never temps: our handlers are trained in-house on museum protocols, then assessed before they ever work on your pieces.
No piece, no name, no address is ever disclosed. No photo published without your written consent.
Tell us about the artwork, the origin and the destination. We reply within one business day with a detailed proposal — and a dedicated lead who will follow your file from start to finish.
